Mango Dal - Mamidikaya Pappu - Mavinkayi Pappu - Kairiche Dal

This recipe is authentic Andhra style pappu which my mom's friend used to make. We liked it a lot and asked the recipe from her and from them on I make it regularly and it is both mine and husband's ultimate favourite!! Try it atleast once and I bet you cant stop making it again and again!!
Ingredients
Raw Mango- 1 cup
Boiled Dal - 1 bowl
Green chilli - 1 slit
Red chilli - 2 slit
Garlic flakes - 8 to 10 crushed
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 10
Salt to taste
Water as required
Ghee- 2 tbsp
Recipe
1. Boil dal and green chilli with salt and water and keep aside.
2. In a wok, add ghee and let it melt.
3. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, rdd chilli broken, garlic flakes and curry leaves and fry for a min.
4. Now add raw mango pieces, saute for a min.
5. Add water , cover lid and cook the raw mango for 6 min.
6. Now add boiled dal, salt as required mix well and cook for about 10 min.
7. Give it a boil and off the flame.
Your Dal pappu is ready to serve.
Note- You can add extra ghee if required to enhance the taste.
