Carrot Halwa or Gajar ka Halwa Recipe


Carrot Halwa is favourite sweet dish of most of us. Atleast one person from a house likes this dessert. So let us see the easiest and quickest method of preparing carrot halwa with the available ingredients at home!

Ingredients

Carrot - 4 medium sized shredded
Milk - 1 cup
Sugar - 8 to 10 spoons
Ghee - 3 to 4 tbsp
Dry fruits of your choice - Half a cup

Method

1. Switch on the gas flame and keep a pan and allow it to get hot.
2. Once pan is hot, add 2tbsp of ghee, it melts immedietly.
3. Next add shredded carrot and saute it on medium flame for 10 min.
4. You can see carrot quantity has reduced.
5. Now add milk, mix well , lower the flame and close lid. Let it cook for about 20 min.
6. Keep checking in between.
7. After 20 min you can see carrot has cooked and milk has evaporated, so now add sugar.
8. Saute and mix for 5 min on medium flame.
9. Add dry fruits of your choice, remaining ghee and mix for 5 min.

Our easiest and tastiest carrot halwa is ready to serve hot.

Note:
1. You can add elaichi powder/ cardomom powder if you wish.
